What's Included
The highlights service is a full consultation, sectioning and lightener placement, processing time under controlled heat, a toning step to land your exact desired tone, and a finished blow-dry. We can run traditional foils for crisp, high-contrast brightness or hand-painted balayage-style highlights for softer dimension — or a blend of both depending on what your hair and goals call for.
Who It's For
Highlights work for clients who want lift and dimension without committing to an all-over color change. They're a particularly strong fit for clients who want to brighten their face frame, soften a base color that has gone flat, or maintain summer warmth into the cooler months. We also use highlights as a building block in larger color corrections.
Why Harsh Chemical Free Matters
Lightener is the most demanding chemistry in any color service. Conventional lighteners can leave hair brittle and damaged, especially over repeated visits. The harsh chemical free line we use in studio lifts cleanly without sacrificing strength, so your hair stays soft and shiny — visit after visit — instead of getting more compromised over time.
Maintenance Between Visits
Most highlights clients return every 6 to 10 weeks depending on placement. Sulfate-free shampoo, a weekly toning shampoo if you're cool-toned, and a bond-supporting treatment will keep your color clean between sessions. I'll write the specific routine for your hair before you leave.
What to Expect on the Day
Allow 2.5 to 3.5 hours depending on length, density, and the placement we plan together. The studio runs one client at a time, so there's no overlap and no rush. Call or text directly to book — there's no online calendar.
