The curly hair service is built end-to-end around your texture: a curl-pattern consultation, a sulfate-free cleansing ritual, a hydration treatment, and a curl-by-curl dry cut on each natural curl shape. We finish by diffusing or air-styling so you leave knowing exactly how the cut will live on your second-day, third-day, and refresh-day hair — not just in the chair.
Who It's For
This service is for clients with wavy, curly, or coiled hair who have spent years getting cuts designed for straight hair and watching them fall into shapeless triangles or weighted-down ends. If you've been told your hair is 'too thick,' 'too frizzy,' or 'too much,' you've simply been working with the wrong tools and the wrong cutting method. Your hair isn't the problem.
How I Approach Curly Cutting
I cut curly hair dry, curl by curl, so I can see how each spiral or wave actually wants to sit. That's the only way to balance shape, density, and movement without disappearing the hair you actually want to keep. Layers go in to support volume where you need it and remove weight where you don't. We never cut blunt across the bottom of curls — that creates the dreaded triangle shape every curly client knows.
Product & Routine Coaching
I'll walk you through a routine using harsh chemical free curl-friendly products: which order to apply, how much to use for your density, how to scrunch versus rake versus finger-coil, and how to refresh between washes. You leave with a written routine card so you can recreate the look without guessing.
What to Expect on the Day
Allow 90 minutes to 2 hours for a first appointment — there's a lot of texture conversation, education, and styling time built in. Returning clients are typically 75 to 90 minutes. Call or text the studio directly to book.
