What Harsh Chemical Free Color Actually Is
Conventional permanent color systems rely on harsh alkalizers and preservatives to lift the hair's cuticle and deposit pigment. These ingredients can irritate the scalp, weaken the hair shaft over time, and produce that unmistakable salon-color smell. The harsh chemical free color systems we use eliminate formaldehyde, parabens, sulfates, gluten, and alcohol from the formula entirely — delivering real color performance without compounding stress on your hair and scalp.
Who It's For
This service is for anyone who wants real color performance — true tone, full coverage, and lasting vibrancy — without the harshness of conventional color. It's especially well-suited to clients with sensitive scalps, clients who have noticed their hair feeling dryer or more brittle after years of color, pregnant or nursing clients who want a gentler chemistry, and anyone making a conscious shift toward non-toxic, holistic personal care.
What Makes Our Line Different
The harsh chemical free color line we use in studio is built around ingredients made from nature, not natural ingredients made from chemicals. It's free of formaldehyde, parabens, sulfates, gluten, preservatives, and alcohol — and it's built around plant-based oils that condition the hair while the color is processing. That means the color step itself becomes part of the conditioning step — your hair leaves the chair softer and shinier, not stripped. The result is a genuinely non-toxic color experience: the chemistry works with your hair and body, not against them.
Maintenance Between Visits
Maintenance is the same as conventional color — typically every 4 to 6 weeks for root work, every 3 to 6 months for a full color depending on tone and lifestyle. Sulfate-free shampoo and a weekly mask will extend your color between visits.
What to Expect on the Day
Allow 90 minutes for a root retouch, 2 to 3 hours for an all-over color with finish. The consultation comes first; nothing gets mixed until we agree on the tone. Call or text the studio directly to book.
